This was a great story, I just wish it had been longer! The characters were well rounded(no pun intended) and it didn’t seem forced, the story just flowed from scene to scene.

Maximum Ride, Vol. 7 by James Patterson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Yay! I adore this graphic novel series so much! I have every intention of reading the novels themselves but I’m so into the art work for this series that it’s hard to stop and read through the books!

The Power of Two by Patti O’Shea
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This series is awesome, as a whole and as individual books. I loved the concept, in this book, of the two main characters being able to communicate ‘telepathically’ using nano computers in their brains. I especially loved that Cai could kick butt on her own but still relied on Jacob to have her back. Great pairing and story!!
Some days just aren’t worth staying alive for…
Honestly, in the history of bad days Jane Jameson’s takes the cake. First she’s fired from her job and gets herself drunk, than she’s mistaken for a deer and gets shot full of lead, only to wake up as a vampire!! Could things get any worse? Apparently they can, because someone knows she’s been turned into a vampire and ‘good girl’ Jane finds herself being framed for several grisly murders.
But all isn’t lost! There are some up sides to being the newly undead. Like having a new job at an old book store. With the ever forgetful owner all over the place and beyond, Jane has her hands full again filing books away, checking out customers, and re-filing the books because they just don’t look right in that corner. And of course who can forget Jane’s sexy vampire sire Gabriel. Not only is he devastatingly attractive but he’s just as into Jane as she’s into him. Yep. Things are looking up.. But for how long?
Join Jane Jameson (say that 3 times fast) in her hilarious debut as she learns the ins and outs of being a vampire and stops a murderer from continuing his spree! Don’t forget to checkout the next 2 in the series Nice Girls Don’t Date Dead Men and Nice Girls Don’t Live Forever.
Set in the year 2058, the first book of the In Death series introduces you to Lt. Eve Dallas, of the New York police.
After a termination the night before, Eve is thrown head-long into a gruesome case in which someone is targeting women and leaving notes for her, telling her how many more they plan to kill.
Following the list of suspects and clues left behind, Eve finds herself questioning the mysterious Roarke. Is he the murderer, or is he being set up for these horrendous crimes?
Follow Eve as she struggles to catch an old-time murderer and make sense of some new feelings.
Christmas Pride: Mace Llewellyn wants Desiree ‘Dez’ MacDermot bad. He can’t get enough of her. She’s so, so, feisty! Mace has had a thing for Dez since he first met her and now that he’s no longer a Navy SEAL he wants everything she’s got! The only problem? She’s a dog person and he’s, well… a cat. A lion to be specific. Oh, and his sisters can’t stand Dez. And there’s a murdering shifter on the loose. And… well you get the idea. So how’s Mace supposed to win Dez over? Easy. By being his usual charming self! But will it be enough?
Shaw’s Tail: Ronnie Lee Reed has a problem. A BIG problem. Somehow she got roped into watching over Brendon Shaw. Beaten black and blue, the poor lion shifter needs someone to care for him. At least it’s an easy enough job. Until he wakes up. Now he seems hell bent on seducing the poor Tennessean. The poor wolf Tennessean. Dogs and cats don’t mix, so what makes Brendon think that lions and wolves could? Simple. Brendon knows what he wants. And this is one kitty that’ll do anything to get the woman of his dreams. No matter what it takes…
Nothing says ‘I love you’ like being bait for a sociopath.
Jack the Ripper is a time traveling killer and he’s just targeted Jane Colby as his next victim. Thankfully Jane has a protector, Baran Arvid.
Baran is a genetically engineered Warlord from 300 years in the future. He and his wolf companion, Freika, have been sent back to keep Jane from being killed and to catch her killer. It’s a mission like any other. Except that Baran can’t seem to follow the orders he was given. He was ordered to keep her safe from a distance! And to NOT show himself for any reason!
He’s usually so good at following orders.
But not only does he show himself to her, he also tells her where and when he’s from, who’s after her, and as the piece de resistance he informs her that after the Ripper gets through with her, the only thing left is blood. Baran should know. He’s read the history books trying to find a way around it. And you can’t change history… can you?
Join the adventure of the month and see how it all ends!
Nick Gautier (pronounced Go-Shay) is your everyday, typical fourteen year-old. He loves to eat, hates high school, his dad is in prison for multiple murders, and his friends fight zombies and vampires on a regular basis…Okay, so Nick doesn’t actually believe the zombie part or anything else woo-woo like that, but his friends Bubba and Mark are certified zombie hunters…or just certified (they have guns and know how to use ‘em, so it’s best to just agree with everything they say.)
Needless to say, Nick’s life is pretty normal with a few twists. Then he gets shot. And life goes down-hill from there. Now he’s running from zombies who used to be his class mates, weird creatures are popping up and trying to kill him, apparently he has an uncle, and he can’t find a chainsaw when he needs it. Although, the rocket launcher has potential…
Oh, and did I mention that Nick now has super powers, a pocket knife that can change size, a journal that talks back, and he used to play football with a bunch of shape-shifters? Yeah. It’s one of those weeks.
The best Young Adult book you’ll ever read!! Infinity will have you on the edge of your seat and begging for more. Fans of Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark-Hunter series will NOT want to miss this book. It explains one of the most important questions about Nick. What is up with those shirts he’s always wearing? And don’t forget! The second book, Invincible, comes out February 1, 2011!!
Catherine Crawfield is half vampire, and she absolutely hates that side of herself. Vampires are evil and should be wiped off the face of the earth forever. So she hunts them, using the alias Cat Raven. She has 16 kills to her name, and she’s only getting better.
That is until she propositions Bones, an old vampire who’s on a hunt of his own. Turning the tables on the naive woman, Bones kidnaps her and makes her an offer. Help him or die. Cat loathes him with everything she is, but she agrees to his terms. Hey, if it doesn’t work out she can always stake him! A cheery thought that.
Except it does work out, a little to well. All to soon Cat finds herself falling for the sarcastic, undead Englishman. But her new found feelings are put to the test when her mother is kidnapped by a vicious group of vampires and Cat has to choose. Her mother, or the only man who’s ever loved every part of her, even the parts she herself hates. It’s a race against the rising sun. So join Cat and Bones for this months thrilling escapade!!
And don’t miss the continuing revelations in One Foot in the Grave, At Grave’s End, and coming the 28th Destined for an early grave!
Sookie Stackhouse can hear people’s thoughts.
Sounds cool right? Except Sookie can’t stand all the noise in her head. Day-in and day-out listening to people complain, insult, criticize, and er… think other things, that people think. And working as a waitress in a bar doesn’t help one bit.
When Bill Compton settles into a booth one night her world changes forever. See, Bill is a vampire, and at first Sookie is ecstatic knowing someone whose mind she can’t read. He seems like the perfect vampire for her, and her Grandmother likes him too! Everything seems to be going great. But than she’s targeted by other creatures of the night who want to use her gift for their own gain and things start to get out of hand. Dangerously so…
