Christmas!

I know I’m not the only person to be excited about Christmas!

I love buying my family stuff and I love supporting the Marine Corps Toys for Tots and there’s this box at my local library that’s a ‘socks for seniors’ thing that I’ve never had a chance to donate to, but will this year!

Christmas is really just an excuse to give people things without there being a feeling of obligation (real or not) hanging around.

Still a month away and I’m so excited! I’m also almost done shopping (for my family that is!) and definitely looking forward to Black Friday because there should be sales at work which means my money can go further!

On an unrelated note (before I let y’all go), anyone know of a good book or tutorial that shows how to make books and book covers without using AI?

I’m having trouble.

Ciao!

Atlantis!

I haven’t liked the Genii since the very first episode they showed up in and they’ve never given me a reason to doubt my judgment ya know?

It’s interesting though that the division amongst the Genii isn’t just between military groups, but also between scientists and military mindset.

The military doesn’t see any use in the science divisions and the only reason they’ve gotten any credit lately is because Ladin’s sister is head of a department.

So we can give Ladin kudos for that but not much else.

Sheppard hears a little bit about the tension between the groups during the Remembrance Day celebration when a higher ranked scientist makes a comment before quickly backtracking. Obviously fearing for his life should anyone overhear his words.

It’s strange when you consider that it’s the scientists who would have figured out the nukes they created in the first place and they’d be the ones to figure out the Alteran ship too.

It would be interesting to find out when the division happened and why because the Genii military wouldn’t have gotten as far as they have in regards to defeating Wraith if it weren’t for the scientist…

One of those things we’ll never find out (unless it’s hiding in one of the books and I just haven’t realized yet).

Until next week!

Atlantis!

Again, kinda though…

I’m watching episode 1 again, but on a different TV and I have no idea what the TV is set too but it looks like a documentary instead of TV series.

The sound is off slightly too…

I don’t know how to fix it and it’s annoying!

I’m also reading and using it as background noise so it’s not actually that bad. I’m just being dramatic because I’ve had insomnia the last couple nights and my mind is doing the can’t focus thing.

Anyways, I’m hoping to get cookies from one or another place tomorrow. Haven’t decided which but let’s be honest here y’all, so long as they have chocolate chip I’m good.

Bye!

Not so happy…

In addition to the fiction books I’ve been reading, I’ve also been trying to read more nonfiction. It’s not too bad so far.

I’ve liked some books. Haven’t liked others.

However, when I opened the latest used nonfiction I bought, awhile ago, I found out it had been highlighted and written in.

I am most unhappy because I felt this was going to be a keeper book and I wanted to be the one writing in it.

I’ll have to see if work has it.

Anywho’s, this was slightly ranty and I apologize.

I’ll see everyone next week!

Atlantis!

Technically yes, but technically no.

Book 24 in the Atlantis series does have our favorite people in it but it also mostly deals with the Genaii and the ship Shepherd procured for them so many books ago.

Still not a fan of the Genaii (and not just cause of what they did to our favorite Wraith) because they have such a bad mindset.

They started out lying, and we can kind of forgive them for it because the Wraith are scary and their way did keep them safe and able to grow technologically without discovery.

The problem started when they then tried to take over Atlantis and killed people instead of allying with them.

The story would have been completely different had that happened.

Even now, so many books later (you’d think they’d learn) their mindset is very much that of a controlling force. They want to be the ones in charge of the galaxy and can’t seem to understand that the rest of the galaxy doesn’t really want them around.

Just started this one again (getting a ton of books off my TBR shelves too!!) and will keep you all updated!

Have a fantastic week!

Not so tech savvy

I’m sure y’all have seen the new page I did and my Thursday posts.

The posts were supposed to be posted to the new Bible Study page.

🙄

My sister, thank heavens, has a possible solution to my ineptness, but our schedules aren’t syncing for a bit.

I’ll get things worked out but it may be a couple of weeks before that happens.

Sorry!
