Vacation!

Technically I’m almost done with vacation which was really a not-go-anywhere vacation and just chill.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself which is why there was no post last Monday…

Sorry!

Surprisingly, I haven’t read too much or watched Stargate this vacation. I just did a ton of cleaning around the house and got some crafty things done.

Not to say we haven’t watched Stargate! And I am about halfway through the latest Nalini Singh book, Archangel’s Lineage.

I’ve just gone with the flow and not stressed about what I had to get done before work again.

It’s been fabulous!

I’ll try and post the crafty things I got done next week, but I am still working in them and go back to work Tuesday.

Until then!

Finally, they met!!

We finally got to the episode where McKay shows up at the SGC and he totally didn’t disappoint!!

My mother hates him and I’m just sitting here grinning like a fool knowing what happens in Atlantis and KNOWING she’s going to end up loving him!!

She didn’t like Hammond at first either and loves him now, so you know the character development is what’s doing it.

I think I’ll suggest the Legacy series to her when we’re done with Atlantis. I think she’d enjoy it!

I have two days off in a row and though I have plans, I also have had a hankering to read the novella with Snow in it again.

We shall see!

Ta for now!!

It’s been a while!

Sorry for the brief silence. I was busy watching the solar eclipse and putting in an application for a scholarship opportunity.

To make up for it, here are a few pics of the solar eclipse I got!!

I didn’t download an app or anything because I didn’t have time to find a good one so I just put a pair of eclipse glasses over the camera lense and took pics that way!

Aren’t they great!!

Done!

After months and months and months and months and (y’all get the picture), I finally finished ‘Pride of the Genii’!

Only to discover that I have somehow read some of the books more then the others?!

I have no idea how that happened, but now I feel like I have to catch them all up so I’ve read all the Atlantis book the same amount of times.

*le sigh*

A readers work is never done!

I know this one’s short and doesn’t have an actual review, but the whole book was pretty much about the Genii. Still not a fan.

Until next week, stay safe and read a book!

Lol!

Best laid plans and all.

I didn’t finish the last last Legacy book. We were so busy and it didn’t go too well.

Anyways!

I’m working my way through the last small pile still of my owned TBR books. I’ll admit to getting more books (1 I’d already read and it wasn’t a keeper), but I had free books from ThriftBooks to use up and I kept forgetting until the literal last day I could use them and I somewhat panicked.

I did get 2 present books for me mama though!

I also got another cross-stitch done.

Eeyore!

Isn’t he cute!

I have to put him in the frame of course, but not bad!

I’ve started the last cross-stitches I have, which is technically a Christmas present so I feel like I can count my cross-stitching backlist done right?

Almost, I’m almost done!

Till next week!

Finally the end?!

I will be traveling for work again which means I’ll be able to finish the last Legacy book this week.

That just means I’ll be finishing the book again. Certainly doesn’t mean I’ll be stopping my reading or watching of Stargate.

My mama and I are having a blast watching Stargate SG-1 and I cannot wait for when Rodney shows up!!

(I know I’ve said that before but y’all understand!)

Unfortunately there will be a break from Stargate related posts, unless it’s about SG-1, because of my plans for this year. I’ll still be collecting the SG-1 books, but most likely won’t be reading them until later.

For now, y’all have a great week and I’ll see you next time!

Home stretch!

I am so close to being done with my massive backlog of books I’m shocked!!

I’ve got 4-5 more to go and only 2 we’re actually part of my backlog. The others are Christmas presents from favorite authors I absolutely must read!

This also means I’m almost done with that last Atlantis book too.

I’ve already mentioned I have other plans this year that aren’t reading and crafting, but I assure y’all I’ll have content.

I also think I’ll start getting the Stargate SG-1 novels in earnest now since I’m watching it through again with my mama.

…This is a bit of a rambler but I was called out of town again to help a new store and I’m dog sitting again, but I’m not getting good sleep because they’re sick and have to keep going out throughout the night.

I am so tired.

To bed with me!

Sorry!

I missed last week and I apologize. Work had me traveling and I was tired to the point I didn’t realize I’d missed the post until the actual day the post should have been up…

Anyways, here’s a post though possibly not what you’d expect.

The Israelites complained. A lot!

It’s been so long since I’ve read the Bible that now as an adult I’m seeing things and understanding them where I didn’t as a child.

And the biggest thing so far? The Israelites seemed to adore complaining.

Here’s the thing that I keep thinking about (keeping in mind these are God’s chosen people!). They literally walked with God guiding them. He gave them water from a rock!

Food just showed up on the ground for them to eat!

God talked to their leader all the time and they still not only complained, but went against God’s commands.

This is like Adam and Eve. They literally walked with God all the time and then decided, ‘nah, we’ll be fine without Him’.

I can’t even imagine literally walking and talking with God, yet these people did and still looked around and constantly complained about what He’d done for them.

What the heck y’all?

Seriously, what the heck?!

Anyways, I’m having a blast reading the Bible as an adult now and I’m already in Numbers!

Till next time!
