Crafty pic catch up! (4)

Did the main layer and then a second to add the cereal and raspberries on top.
No other way to cure these types of things without making a mess.
I’ll be taking a pic of all the ones I get done this vacation to show peeps. Which is why they’re squished in here and not spread out!

I didn’t use the gingerbread men because the pics of Yule logs I found online never seemed to have them and I figured I’d keep them for something else.

Really liked how this came out and even had a duplicate show up later!

Have a fantastic week everyone!

Read a good book! Or THE Good Book!

Instructions said to use both bags of soap mix and I did, but it ended up being too much for the mold so I had to unmold some before cooling them. It’s why there’s some that look better than the rest.

The mold is silicone though so I’m going to clean it and try it with resin!

Using extra boxes for storage!
The caramel resin was thicker and acted like actual melted caramel!

I used an extra table to set the apples on to cure the first time so I’d get that flat bottom look. I also used the granola stuff from the bear popsicles instead of opening the pieces that came with this set.

I’ve been doing that with quite a bit. Using what’s already open just makes sense.

These actually work!

You put the ice and resin in the top and it’ll dispense them into the cups!!

Only problem is that the resin is using gravity alone and so it takes FOREVER!

I haven’t been using the actual machine since the first one, since they’re mostly for collecting and entertainment the fact they work is enough for me!

Definitely resined the ornaments on the branches!

Probably could have used more resin for this, but I didn’t realize how obvious it would be through the vase.

Still more to go!

Stay safe and don’t forget to thank God for all the things!

The resin does a great job keeping the popcorn in the bowl!
A toothpick is the answer! I’ve been struggling with getting glazes to ‘fall’ from the sides and toothpicks are the answer!
I laughed so hard when I opened this one!

Literally just set the pieces in the mold and resin them together. I used the resin from the last set I opened (where the mold is too dark to set correctly, though I may try again with my UV lamp) instead of opening a new one.

Definitely using the mold to make my own swords, because why not?

Another mold one! Love these!

I did not look at the instructions close enough and so dumped the toppings in at the same time as the broth.

Really hope I get another one to redeem myself with, but not too unhappy since it just looks like someone started stirring it before eating.

The mistake, if y’all can’t see it well, is that the gold dust on top is supposed to be broth. So I should have added it to the noodles and resin, mixed it up then added the toppings and cured it.

Oh well!

See you next week and keep praying!

Over abundance of crafty pics!

Scrolling through my camera roll I find that I have a TON of crafty pics I haven’t posted yet so I think it would be best if I just posted those the next couple of weeks.

Here we go!

The mold needs to be clamped or something because otherwise the resin oozes through the seams.
Had to sand the edges of excess resin from the ooze.
Forgot to take ‘before’ pic, sorry!

See ya next week with more!

Stay crafty!!

VACATION!!

Should I even post while on vacation? 🤔

Why not!

I’ve read a couple of books (a 1 star and a 3 star) and started another for Goodreads challenges. I want those bookmarks!

I also did several mini kits today and I’m working on fixing some of my other projects like the elven swords.

I’m not taking in-between pics because that would be far too long of a post, so it’ll just be before and after!

Hilt isn’t fully attached on this one.
Hilt and tip of sword didn’t cure properly.
The clear bubble on the hilt is the fix and looks much better in person!
Hard to see the fixed tip here, but I actually broke it off while trying to sand it…😑

I’m not a Beetlejuice fan AT ALL, but these Halloween ones were on sale and I figured I could use the pieces for other things.

I did make the drinks, but the gummy bugs (intended to be inside the drink) I’ll be using for a garden/plant thing in the future. I think they’ll be cuter that way.

The little ghost glows in the dark!!!!!

It’s supposed to be used as a handle for the display sphere, but I of course have better plans for it!!

Put some resin on top of the soil to keep the plant and soil attached to the pot. Didn’t want it spilling!
Another glow in the dark ghost for me!

This cake was a little easier if only because of my trial and error with Hello Kitty. If I get another cake set though I think I’ll use a toothpick to get the frosting to fall down the side.

They not only wrapped the Brie in aluminum foil, but they cut a piece out too!

The prosciutto was a NIGHTMARE!

They give you three slices and you’re supposed to roll it up and cut it in half to put on the board. They wouldn’t stay rolled up!

I tried just resin to keep it held together in the rolled shape but it wouldn’t hold long enough. I finally asked my brother for a clear straw and you can see what I did.

It worked, thankfully, but I still used extra resin to secure it!

Finished! I like how the honey started to slightly pool as if it’s coming off! One of the only times I’m glad resin doesn’t cure so quickly!

That’s all for this week because it’s a lot!

I’ll post more next week!

Have a fabulous week everyone and don’t forget to do some learning! (Even if only how to resin tiny things!😉)

Whoops!

It was a REALLY good book!

That I happened to keep reading until 1am and I have a dentist appointment soon and then work…

‘House of Fire and Magic’ by Sherrilyn Kenyon is to blame, not me!

Till next week, enjoy that book!(or more!)

Crafty!

I was thinking of calling this one ‘tiny crafty’, but honestly, what other kind of crafty is there?

Tiny birdhouse!!!!!

This one was super simple of course, but I added my own twist to it since I didn’t want the bird and eggs to roll around.

The intention is that they just sit in the birdhouse. The problem with that is they’re not kept in place and since I move my stuff around quite a bit I’d forget and they’d go everywhere.

I had some brown resin left from a boba set (I hadn’t cured the resin yet and haven’t taken a pic) so I used a very little amount and put it on the eggs to keep them stable.

I had to use my new uv nail curing light, but I’m super glad it worked!

Finished product!

It’s so tiny!!

I’ll see y’all next week!

Keep praying!

Vacation!

Hasn’t happened yet, but I can see it coming!

End of February I have vacation and SO many plans!

I’m actually hoping to be done with my first scrapbook and onto the next one by this point so I can knock another one or two out.

I’m also hoping to get my mini kits done too and start the Easter surprise for work!

To say I have plans is an understatement…I also want to read of course.

Guess it’ll depend on how I’m feeling though. Still have some residual ick from last week. *le sigh*

I’ll see everyone next week! Should be another crafty one because I got more tiny things made!!

Bye for now!

Birthday mini things! (Part 1)

First of all, I love mini things!!

Second of all, due to my mamas genius idea I decided to do a few of the MiniVerse kits on my birthday and randomly grabbed these.

Candles!

They’re supposed to glow gently but I haven’t tested that yet.

I don’t know what happened, but after I let them set in the sun a couple of days there was a random hole in both. It’s about the size of the wick so I think it just moved and left an air pocket.

I’m just going to fill it in with clear resin. The smaller one will get a little sharpie action to look like it’s been burning, but the taller one I’ll leave as is since I filled it higher on purpose.

I found Nemo! That newsletter is adorable, and a part 1? Hopefully they actually did part 2, etc…

I didn’t use all of the pebbles because it would have filled the tank too high. An actual fish tank wouldn’t be that full since the fish needs enough water to swim in. Not sure what I’ll do with the rest of it, but it’s pretty!

*le sigh*

I was going to get another small fish and put it in the bag then resin it shut, but as you can see the ‘bag’ didn’t close all the way. Still cute though!

The fish! It had this stand that you’re supposed to nestle into the pebbles so the fish is ‘swimming’.

But the fish comes off!

I used a bunch of resin to make water and then added the fish and cured it before adding more resin.

You can see the demarcation line where I did the first amount of water, put the fish in and added more water.

I wasn’t too careful about bubbles for obvious reasons. The resin did clear up a bit more so the demarcation line isn’t as noticeable anymore.

These were absolutely the best!

I laughed when I opened the fish tank one and it was so fun!!

Next week will feature a plant and a cake!

See ya then!
