Yay holiday weeks!
I have 3 days off this week and plan to do nothing but craft and catch up on reading.
Which includes the latest reread of book 24 in the Legacy series and then onto the novellas!!
Woot!

Woot!
It’s been a day.
I feel like eating donuts. 🤔
Yeah.
I think I’ll do the that.
Or cookies.
Cookies are good!
I might see y’all Thursday this week…
Y’all!
You know the audiobooks for SG-1 and Atlantis? I got some for Christmas last year! (Which I would have squee’d about at the time of course).
It’s taken me this long to listen to them because each disc is roughly an hour long and my commute is only 20ish.
Some of y’all are doing the math and it’s not adding up. I understand.
However!
This is Stargate we’re talking about and you really can’t cut these stories off in the middle and not have that mess with your day because you need to know what happens next!
Which is why I’ve been waiting to listen to them until I’m driving an hour or more.
I have one disc of six left (3 per overarching story and each disc it’s own self contained story) and I NEED to know how it ends!!
Problem is I don’t have an hour drive coming up anytime soon…
I might have to bring the CD player out and craft while I listen.
Until next time, think about adopting or fostering a pet from your local shelter, or even volunteering with them!
Ciao!
I may be depressed again. I don’t feel like doing anything but sleeping.
I spent four hours scrolling through YouTube video’s instead of reading today.
This is sounding familiar and I’m not happy about it so please excuse the posts for awhile. Or lack thereof actually.
Ta.
We have passed episode 5 of Stargate SG-1!
My mama is not a fan of Hammond or Carter. I can’t help be excited for the moments that make her like them!
Cause we all know it’ll happen.
Stargate has always done an excellent job with character development so I don’t foresee my mother NOT ending up loving Hammond and Carter.
The thought of her first introduction to McKay is also filling me with an amount of glee that’s not normal y’all!
In addition to Stargate being back on the menu! (Couldn’t help myself) I am also working towards something pretty dang exciting and a little terrifying at the same time.
I’ll keep you posted on both and hopefully I can make good on that promise about the crafty things soon…
Have a fantastic week everyone!!
Saturday morning I woke up with a cold punching me in the face. I took the appropriate meds and went to work.
Yesterday morning I woke up at 9:20ish, got French toast sticks and orange juice from Wendy’s for breakfast, ate and then promptly fell asleep again from about 11am to 5:30ish pm.
To say this cold is kicking my butt is an understatement.
I’ll see y’all next week.
Send prayers for a quick recovery if you’d please! (And thank you!)
I am dog sitting this week so will catch y’all up next week!
Couple nights ago my mama and I watched (for the millionth time) the original Stargate movie.
The one that started it all!
I never remember how dang good it is until I’m watching. It’s fun to see how dated the movie is and to compare the movie actors and characters with the tv series actors and characters.
When I’m talking about dated, I specifically mean the scenes where people are just smoking wherever.
That would not fly even ten years ago! But when the movie was made that was a thing. So a scene where almost everyone is smoking in a small room being briefed on the Stargate cartouche’s by Daniel Jackson?
Priceless!
Character differences are fun though not as expansive because the movie only had a little time to create these fully fleshed characters, whereas the series had season after season to give the characters time to develop in a more natural and realistic way.
I could go on but it’s late and I need sleep.
However! My mama has never watched past the first couple episodes of the series and so now she’s going to with me!!
YAS!!!!
Next time peeps!
Okay, it’s not Atlantis but it is Stargate!
I was watching clips of the SG-1 episode where Carter and O’Neill go through the second Earth gate and are trapped.
What’s entirely funny about that whole situation (outside of the fat that’s the famous McGuyver ad lib by Amanda Tapping) is that Daniel asks Teal’c ‘what happens when you dial your own number?’ then immediately realizes his mistake and asks General Hammond.
Everyone should know the answer if only from TV or books, but you get a busy signal is the answer.
I love that the series is dated because it always felt so close to reality you know? As if any second you could see a Deathglider flying overhead being chased by Air Force pilots.
Of course, if you’d seen that and reported it anywhere you’d be considered a conspiracy nut. Even if you had video evidence from your cell phone, technology is at a place that AI could easily replicate the scenario and the governments would discredit you pretty much immediately…
If other people online didn’t beat them to it.
Interesting times y’all.
Until we meet again! (Next Monday of course!!)
I don’t want to skip a week for a post but I also don’t have anything…
My bad.
Next week?
