Onigiri!!

I first had onigiri in Las Vegas from a place called Pullman Bread and it was DELICIOUS!!

Problem is, though there is a large Asian population in my area, most of the food is ramen and dessert based.

Which is also delicious, but not onigiri.

When I found a cute rice ball mold I decided to try it out myself.

It’s hard y’all.

The rice is SO sticky to be ridiculous!

Thus the mold.

(The rice was still sticky!)

My brother was willing to make rice and fry up some spam on the stovetop a couple nights ago so I could try it out.

You see the results?!

Not necessarily pretty and the taste wasn’t the same, but for a first time attempt it wasn’t bad!

I didn’t season the rice outside of salt and it sucked the flavor out of the spam pretty quickly, but for a late night snack (didn’t get home from work until after 10) it was a solid 7/10!

I’ll keep y’all updated on any further attempts!
